Registration's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

In effort to help with registration, we have created this FAQ section to address your concerns and questions regarding various aspects of the registration process.

PLEASE NOTE:  Any errant or cancelled registrations are subject to a non-refundable $25.00 fee.

I created an account with SportsEngine, but I still cannot login to start my registration with SRIYHA for the season?
Please be sure to follow ALL of the steps noted here when creating your account.  The most common error is not verifying your email address by clicking on the verification link in the account activation email that is sent to you from SportsEngine.  Until that is done, you will not be able to register.  If you didn’t receive the activation email or have misplaced it, please email Kate Smith and she will get the activation email resent to you promptly.

Why do I need a USA Hockey registration in addition to registering with SRIYHA?
Every skater and on-ice volunteer needs a USAH membership.  A membership with USAH is mostly for on-ice insurance purposes, but also comes with numerous other benefits.  Please visit this page to learn what else you receive.

How long does my USAH membership last?
USAH membership expires every year on 8/31 and must be renewed in order to be on the ice during the following season.

How will my personal information be used by SRIYHA?
Any contact information you share with SRIYHA will NOT be publicly available.  SRIYHA will only use your information to keep you informed about your team, our league and related events.

I paid a tryout fee and a 20/21 season deposit in the spring.  How do I receive credit for my payments during registration?
Tuition prices presented during the registration process for Mite, Squirt, Peewee and Bantam players will include credit for the $150 tryout fee and $150 season deposit paid in the spring.  You will not need to activate any discount codes during the registration process related to these previous payments.

What is your policy on refunds?
Refunds are dealt with on a case by case basis.  Due to the configuration of our registration system with SportsEngine, we are unable to change the balance due on your account.  We cannot alter any future payments you may have scheduled with SportsEngine.  However, in addition to issuing paper checks for refunds, we will now be able to issue refunds electronically this season.

How do I change my payment information?
If you need to update your credit card information, for any reason, please follow the instructions located on the SportsEngine help page here.  Please note that you must be logged into your SportsEngine account to make changes.
