All coaches MUST be registered with USA Hockey (USAH) in order to be placed on the roster and / or be on the ice!  This is not the number on your coaching card.  Once you register with USAH, please register as a Volunteer with SRIYHA using our 2023-2024 Volunteer Registration. SRIYHA will NOT be able to officially certify any roster with RI Hockey without this information.  

All on-ice volunteers must:

1.  Register with USA Hockey before stepping on the ice.

2.  Register with SRIYHA as a Coach/Volunteer.  

3.  Complete a background screening (view tab for more info).

4.  Have the proper CEP Level per RI/USA Hockey guidelines, completed by 12/31/2023.

5. Have appropriate Age Modules for each team being coached, completed by the start of the 2023-2024 season. Optional: complete the goaltenders module.

6.  Complete the SafeSport Program training through the USA Hockey website (this is FREE with a valid USAH membership). Links and instructions are provided on Safe Sport tab.

7.  (optional) Review this document if you have female players on your team. 

Failure to comply will result in immediate suspension of coaching privileges by SRIYHA.

You can check your own status at any time by logging into USA Hockey and clicking "My Profile" and then "Coaching Information."
